Hexie stitching
Good Morning everyone. Got a question for you hexie lovers. When you slipstitch the hexies together do you use one singe thread or a double? I'm using a single Bottomline poly thread for slip stitching them together. Was wondering if the single thread was strong enough. Opinions welcome!! :)

I use a single thread. Coats 50 weight, 100 percent cotton. Haven't had a problem.

I use single thread. I put a couple f double stitches at each end,and do about 14 stitches to the inch. Have fun!

I use a single thread of Coats quilting thread. Find that using the quilting thread I don't get as many tangles as with ordinary thread. :)

If you are talking about sewing each individual hexie together with a running stitch, I use one thread. If you are using the hexies that you sort of blind stitch together, I'd use one thread for that also.

I use single Bottomline poly thread and it works great! The thread is so thin it "melts" into the fabric but is a nice strong thread. I have also used a single srand of silk thread to sew hexies together and it works well too. :)

Ok, guess I'm good to go. I am doing the hexie diamonds using modern fabrics and black and white paths. My hexie's are 3/4 inch on the side. Thank you for all the imput and happy hexing everyone. :)
