Hey Floridans!
One week from today I will be in Florida to visit my DS, who lives outside of Tampa. (Lives in Dover, works in Lakeland) Can anyone suggest any quilt shops or "must see" sites for us to visit? We have a list of some places we want to go, but always like to get input from the locals.
Thanx :) |
The Patchwork Pig in downtown Lakeland. It is going out of business, and top quality cottons are $5 a yard...In love this shop and will really miss it!~! It is located on Pine St, of 37

Rainbow's End in Duneeden near Tampa

Definitely go to Rainbows End in Dunedin (great downtown area and lunch/dinner spots) and Country Quilts and Bears in Clearwater-really nice shop and people!

There is a really nice shop down here...two actually, Susie Qs and A Quilt Lovers Hangout, both in North Fort Myers. Both are stocked to the brim!

I doubt Patchwork Pig has anything left worth driving to Lakeland for it. They started their going out of business sale a month ago and one week into it they had sold so much. Heartfelt in Winter Haven is awesome but since you are so close, Rainbow's End in Dunedin is a MUST! It is also in the historic district of Dunedin which is also so much fun to walk around on the weekends. they usually have something going on in town on weekends outside.

How about Fabric Warehouse, two of them in Lakeland Barb
