Ya know those handy clover mini irons? The ones with the "safety shield" yeah safety shield my ashtray! Maybe safety shield cover from a lawsuit!
Oh and a word to the wise neosporin +pain relief (the walgreens brand works great) works great on burns it numbs it up and also keeps it from cracking and crying out!

OUCH! Sorry to hear about your mishap! :(

I know exactly how it hurts. Dumb me used my finger to push the head of the iron down. Anything passed the handle is hot!
Here's a great tip. Next time you are at the Dr. ask for a prescription for Silvadene. It's for burns only. It's burn cream that really really works. It's a must if you have kids and for any kitchen burns. Excellent for sunburn, stops the pain fast. I get it in the big jar and keep it in the fridge. It stays good for several years. It has been a blessing to me many times.

I got mine for Christmas. I have been hesitant....even more so now. Thanks for the warning.

Ouch! Burns are so nasty!

Burns can be brutal. I recently got rid of my 50 year old stove and got a stainless steel black glass top stove. one Burner goes from cold to hot in 30 seconds. My mind had to adjust from 3+ minutes on old to 30 seconds on new. Of course, you have to test a new stove to see if burner is warming up OUCH Won't do that again. Blisters on sewing hand, packed in ice for 24 hours, gone. Please be careful, its not fun.
