Hey You Olfa Rotary Cutter Owners!
I have a question (or questions) for you Olfa rotary cutter owners. I am thinking of buying one of the Olfa Deluxe Ergonomic rotary cutters. I have the standard one and like it a lot. Which do you have and why do you like it. If you have the standard & deluxe which do you like best & why? How about the quick change one?
I also, love the color on the Olfa Splash. But, I keep asking myself if I need it or just want it because it's a cool color. Why do they give us all these chooses? Makes my brain hurt trying to decide. I NEED YOUR HELP & EXPERIENCE. Thanks, Vonda |
I have both Olfa rotary cutters...the standard and the deluxe.
The deluxe is hands down better than the standard. It's more ergonomic. I'm also tempted to buy the Splash but I'm not sure if it's as good as the deluxe. Waiting to see what others have to say on this. Edit: I hope Olfa comes up with the Splash Ergonomic. That would be so wonderful. |
I had a problem with the quick change. The bolt broke off the plastic disc in front.. Olfa has a guarantee. They sent me new pieces... I haven't gotten into the need for an ergonomic cutter..

I have the standard I started out with it works for me

I have original 45 mm and the ergonmatic. The ergonmatic is far superior to old straight cutter. Blade seem to last much longer also. Much easieer on hands. Was well worth extra money. I have both carpo tunnel and arthritus in both hands. Less pain after long cutting bouts.

I have had standard, ergonomic,. and quick change. My favorite is quick change by far, feel I have the most control out of the 3 and cleaner cuts

I'm a Fiskars girl - which are quite difficult to get here, as Olfa is the leading brand.
I HATED the Olfa ergonomic and only keep it to cut batting etc. (so I don't blunt my other blades). |
