High-Low Contrast for Hunter Star
1 Attachment(s)
First off, thank- you to all who responded to my earlier thread about fabric choices and the Hunter Star block. Do you think these fabrics give sufficient contrast for the block?
thanks...I am always learning. |
Yes, there is enough contrast I'm sure. I think it will look really nice with these fabrics.

I like the red/magenta and orange solids and the dot fabrics you have with them.
The yellow dot one reads as white to me from a distance compared to the other dot fabrics. Try having all the fabrics touching each other and then take a picture of them together. Things look different then. |
Just a suggestion, but I might find a bright turquoise to go with the blue dots and maybe an orange with the yellow dot. I don't care for the navy, I don't know why??

Trying again to upload photo of fabrics touching each other.
|
They all have plenty of contrast and look good together but the navy is a lot darker hue than the other solids and might tend to stand out more. Look at your picture from a distance or squint your eyes and decide if you like it.

I agree with quiltsRfun. The navy comes off as a black. Perhaps a royal looking blue. But the fabrics look great, I like the polka dots.

Wow...love the fabric choices..can't wait to see what you make.
