Hi there Maus, sorry if I haven't welcomed you yet - I try to keep an eye out for fellow Aussies and Melbournians. Have you heard of the Melbourne Modern Quilt Guild? They meet every month.
Welcome!
PM me if you need the website address - next sit and sew day is Feb 13th

Hi Rainy Day - no I haven't heard of them (but wouldn't mind the web address) - I'm usually a lone quilter - unfortunaltely work gets in the way of my hobby !!!!

Can someone tell me if there are a lot of quilting books that can be downloaded to the Kindle, hopefully free or at little cost. My daughter just got one and it looks like something I could enjoy. I sure would love to be able to carry lots of quilting books with me when I travel.

I downloaded Quilts by Marie Webster. It was written years and years ago but is fascinating reading.

I have been trying to get into Gutenberg all morning to download a book for school and haven't been able to. Now I know what's going on....we're all trying to download this book and overloaded the site lol!

Can someone tell me how to save it into my e-book reader? I saved it as a .txt file, but not sure how to get it into my Kindle or Nook. Do I have to have it open or just save it to my download folder for the e-book? I'm new to the e-book & still trying to figure things out. BTW, thanks for the link to Project Gutenberg.
