Holiday Treat Panel

I found this panel in my stash which I got ages ago, but I am not sure how to quilt it. Please help!!

I would stitch all the outlines, and follow sections such as the hairs in the horses' mane, in the leaves and bows etc. It gets easier once you've started and can be addictive. Beautiful panel.

I like Gay’s ideas for the quilting. That’s a beautiful panel.

What a beautiful holiday panel! I would do exactly what was suggested by Gay too. This will be a treasured wall hanging for many years to come.

I would take advantage of the elements on the side, the bow, the holly spray and the ribbon to make 3D elements. I would stitch those up with a little batting and probably "birth" them to sew onto the quilt after it is quilted.

I also would outline stitch the features in the panel and add some thread painting inside the shapes. I would quilt wavy lines to the snowflakes and then quilt the snowflakes so it looks like swirls of wind and snow in the background.

If you could use silver metallic thread in the snowflakes that would add another dimension to your quilt.

Can't help on the quilting. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Snowflakes falling with a breeze swirling them about is a grand idea and would add so much to the beautiful panel.
