Hollow cube block

I watched the video on how to make the hollow cube block but I need to know which sides to sew the solid borders on the triangles. When I put it together it didn't make the block right. I'm doing something wrong! Help!!

Can you post a link to the video? I've never made this block but I might be able to help if I could see the video!

Try going to youtube; I googled hollow cube quilt block and it lead me to youtube. I picked the video by Penny Halgren. She explains and shows the placement of dark, light and medium colors very well.

I'm feeling kind of stupid about now. The template I was using was not the right size and my 3 sides were not even. Duh..no wonder it didn't make a block but a weird rectangle. Sorry gals. Too much holiday I guess!
