Homemade cool sewing kit!!

My elderly father's girlfriend had a daughter who made these really nifty sewing kits. My father and the girlfriend died about 7 years ago and I do not remember the daughter's name or her mom's last name. Has anyone seen one of these and know of the pattern to it? I would love to make a few as gifts. They are very handy and nice to look at. They have so many sewing items. And it's lovely!

In paper craft land, this form is called an 'exploding box'. I googled exploding box sewing kit and lots of hits came up.

These are available at quilt stores as a kit. Now the embellishments are a personal thing and she most likely got them at a craft store. I made my sister one with laura burch fabrics I posted on the board some time ago.
I found the link to it!

They are called etui. It's a very old way of making a sewing case.

It's an etui and I have one that I bought at Joanne's a few years ago. I don't know if they still carry them.

Here is an on line link to the site that sells them.

There are instructions for a nice box here on the board. It's in the tutorial section.
