Would like some feedback on the Homesteader 17 machine. Have a chance to bring used one and not real familar with this brand. Thanks.

You might want to join the homequiltingsystems group at http://groups.yahoo.com and ask there. Several of the members have the Homesteader.

Kitty, I don't have one of these machines, but would love one. The things that I have found out about these machines in the past 3 years of research is 1) people who get them rarely sell them. 2) the company has a great reputations 3) Customer service is great and they get back to you and help you with all questions. 4) you can do most if not all of the service on this machine yourself 5) works on multiple frames 6) are stretched singer machines and here is their site:
