I got some honeybuns wandering if I could use them for a rail fence? I am new to all of this and it says the strips should be 21/2 in. but honeybuns are just 11/2. If there are any other suggestions I am open to them also. Thanks in advance for all your help. I find I am spending lots of time here and learning alot by just reading the posts. :)

You can make a rail fence using any size strips, you'll just get different sized blocks, depending on which width you use.

Been there and not much with just honey buns. Most are charms or jelly roll patterns.

What about the Missouri Star Quilt Company? They have lots of videos and they sell a lot of precuts. I would try there also.

Any size is fine as long as it is consistent. If not go wild and creative!

Yes, railfence would work and be simple and stunning. I love scrappy quilts and you probably have a nice selection there with lots of pretty fabrics. Whatever pattern you choose, you will have some fun making it!

You could also use the 1.5" strips in a Roman Square quilt http://www.quilterscache.com/R/RomanSquareBlock.html

or a Chinese Coin quilt

or a log cabin quilt.
