I went to Houston Quilt Market last weekend and it was great! My tips have already been mentioned but I will repeat them for more emphasis. :)
We didn't need it this year but valet parking is so worth it. We got a cute cloth bag from Moda on Thur night and carried it Fri & Sat. My back was killing me both days from carrying it on my shoulder. Sunday I used my backpack (that I had planned on using) and it made a huge difference. My sinus/allergies were killing me (horrible headaches and upset stomach) and I haven't had that happen in years. Thankfully my sister had some Tylenol sinus and that saved me. Y'all have fun! |
GD and I are in Spring about 20 or so miles from downtown. I didn't realize the show is next week. will have to start getting some plans together. Nana2

No wonder I was feeling antsy today -- it's preview night in Houston! If you have an opportunity to go to this show GO! My friend and I stay just a few blocks from the show and have never had any issues walking to and from the show. There are so many people around doing the same thing that you aren't bothered by anyone. I really want to go back next year -- am saving my pennies already. We fly in on Sunday and leave the following Sunday. We've taken bus tours, many, many classes, and been to lots of luncheons with trunk shows. There is so much to see and do -- it is the experience of a lifetime!
