We went several years ago, and was thinking about going this year - are any of you planning on making the trip? Does anyone have any more info on it?

I live in the Fort Worth area and have friends in Houston, so I usually go down and visit and we make a trip to the quilt show. It's so big, we never really get to see it all, but it's fun to go. And I recommend valet parking for $15 (at least it was that last year) versus paying for parking and walking 1/2 mile. It's well worth it...Have fun

Do they still offer shuttles from the hotel to the front door of the show?

I have been for the last three years and love it! I have a sister in that area to stay with so my SIL and I make a weekend of it. We can spend the entire day from 10:00-7:00 just shopping!

I go every year and already have my reservations. We generally stay at the Double Tree and ride the shuttle so no parking! Had a lot of fun next year and cannot wait to go this year!

I've gone to the show for the last five years. It's fun and not as stuffy and rigid as the AQS shows. The vendors seem more at ease not having to bow and scrape just to be able to come back to the show the following year. I have heard some eye opening stories from vendors that do the AQS shows.
