Your First Quilt Book...or it should be by Carol Doak
Quilter's Complete Guide by Fons & Porter Quilts, Quilts, Quilts by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes I used all 3 and they are great! When you search the title on Amazon...they offer a link to used ones at good prices. |
I recently got the Better Homes and Gardens Complete Guide to Quilting. It is a hardback with rings in side, lays flat, lots of pictures and excellent written information. It is laid out in a very logical and orderly manner.
I also have the Fons and Porter book. |

Thanks for getting back to me. If you could only have ONE of them, which would you recommend?
Sara in NC[/quote] The Quilter Ultimate Visual Guide I have two or three others, had them befor I purchased this one. This is now my go to...and I recommend it to all my students. |
Thanks, Linda, I found the BH&G at Books-A-Million and it's great. May try to find the other one later, maybe at a quilt shop.

also take your quilting books and have Staples office store to rebind them so they lay flat, very inexpensive like $6.00 per book
