If you can see numbers on there Google Singer XXXXXXX (what ever the number is). That should give you some kind of idea. Beautiful machine, and the cabinet looks sweet as well.

thank you Tonnie

Here's the serial number page on the Singer site:

If you have an older, vintage machine, the serial number will be on the machine in the front on the right hand side, on a little plaque. You have one of the more rare Sphinx/Indian star machines. You should PM Billy (Lostn51). He's been searching for one of those for awhile and should be able to tell you more.

What a beauty! Have fun with her. I love the old machines.

Okay I have been kicking everything in the garage around after seeing this machine! I have been looking for one of these for a while (its on my wish list) and this is the 3rd or 4th one I have seen pop up on the board.

You are the very proud owner of a model 15 "Indian Star" which is built for export to other countries. That is why you see "Made in USA" on the machine in so many places. I need the serial number off of it to see what year it is and the allotment for the machines.

If you really want to make me cry tell me that you only paid like $30 for it or something like that........

Billy

Oh what a beauty!

No Billy I did not pay 30 dollars. It was given to me. It had belonged to an Aunt who is now deceased. I use to check on her a lot and would have to check her machine. She would put the bobbin in backwords and clog up. The aunt that actually took care of her gave the machine to me.
