Most quilters charge by the square inch. Multiply width by length in inches to determine. If the quilt is 20 X 40 you are quilting 800 inches. The common price I have seen is 0.01 cent per square inch for free motion, which would be $80.00 for this size. The more intricate the more per inch. Pantos are sometimes as much as 5 cents per square inch. Adding binding is more--15 cents per inch. Sewing binding down by machine additional, sewing binding down by hand even more. Google and check out prices. Most of this is from looking at LQS that offer quilting on the net. This usually includes threads and loading/unloading quilt, but not the batting.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.
