How to clean featherweight?
At last, a featherweight is mine. Today's Jumble Sale at the Quilt Guild, one had my name on it. I told the seller from here on out, I purchased it at a garage sale for $30. She said she would never tell. Anyway, it needs cleaning but sews beautifully. My question, is there a go to book for how to clean, oil ect. the featherweights?

Right here on the quilting board is the vintage machine group and they discuss Featherweights all the time. Some have 100 or more machines and they sure know what to do. All you have to do is go there, or ask. Have fun. I am now the owner of 5. I love them.

Thank y'all so much, I've had fun playing with her, her name is Josephine. I'll definitely read the posts.

I'm signed up for Nova Montgomery's Featheweight Class workshop We will take the machine apart piece by piece and put it back together. Her class fills up as soon as it's announced. If you belong to a guild she would be a perfect speaker and workshop program. Her lecture on Quilts during the Depression is one of the best I've heard.

The best way to find out about Nova Montgomery classes is to sign up for her newsletter/FW Tip of the Month. I have learned so much just from her website and just last week took the Maintenance Workshop.
