How did you quilt your Dear Jane??

I am seriously planning on starting a Dear Jane, this year, and have been wondering how have others quilted their Dear Janes? If I am so lucky as to complete all the blocks, I will never be able to machine quilt it on my domestic machine, and yet, I have never hand quilted anything, and taking it to be quilted by someone else, just is not available to me, cost wise. Has anyone ever done QAYG with these blocks? If you do that, what type of batting do you use? I am thinking that I could figure out how to hand quilt when it is just a small block. Any answers to any of these questions will be so much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Spartan Quilter, a group of us on this board (110 at last count!) are starting Dear Janes on Jan. 15. Please join us -- the more the merrier! Go here:

You'll see lots of discussion of QAYG, as well as fabric choices and some discussion of batting.

I thought about that, but not sure that I can commit to doing 2>3 a week, or whatever the amount was. I am following some of the posts, and will check in often, but there are so many posts to get through, to find info.
