I agree with what people are saying here. Head on over to your nearest friendly local quilt shop and they will likely have classes for you. You can often rent time on their long-arm machines after you take their long-arm class. If you take a long-arm quilting class and then move, I'm pretty sure the new local quilt shop will let you rent time on their machine, as long as you can show them you know what you're doing. Their should be no need to another long-arm class at the new shop. IMHO

There is a very large quilt show near Virginia Beach in late February. Check Mancusco Quilt Shows and get info about their classes. There are also shops in the Virginia Beach area if you want to wait.

WHAAAAAAT! you can take a long arm class? and rent time in a machine...sheez there is so much out there I don't know about.

Holice, I most likely will be waiting to move. As much as I would love to take a class now I just don't think I can squeeze anymore time out of my day....I could stop sleeping but Im not familiar with any 24 hour quilt shops.....but hey is that an idea or what!
