Many of you have seen my grandmother's fan quilt. I want to get it quilted to enter it in the quilt show that is coming up soon.
My problem is, I can't get my needle through the fan blades because of the bonding I used on it is tough.I really didn't want to wash it so is machine quilting the fan my only option?

I think machine quilting is it. I made two wall hangings and used it and was only able to minimally hand embroider over it. It is VERY hard to push through the fabric that is backed with wonder under. I bought some pella LIGHT for my next project and hope that that helps some. Good luck. I know machine quilting over it is no issue at all. The few stitches I did by hand I thought my needle would go right through my finger as I pushed and pushed to get it up and into the fabric.

using the wonder under is tough. I usually use the lightweight stuff if I plan on sewing on it. Good luck..
