I posted last night but somewhere the post did not make it. Must have pushed wrong button..Anyway problem: I drew my design on press and seal then placed it on the quilt sandwich and sewed. Now I am having difficulty removing all the plastic. Of course the part with the design drawn on is what is still there. Will it come out in the wash (cold water) or should I try a very warm iron? It's too late to start over as I would never manage to get all the stitches out. Have not fmq for eons and a lot of the stitches are very very small if you know what I mean.

Waiting to see the responses on this question...I think the concept of using the P & S is great, but it is very difficult to remove. Hoping our board members have the answer...

The only way I ever got the press & seal out was with tweezers. Also, if you use certain pens/markers to mark the press & seal and sew on that line the marker can transfer to the fabric.

I don't use press & seal any more :(

BTW, press & seal is plastic, I wouldn't iron...

My mom uses an emory board to remove thread after seem ripping maybe it will work for this.

I uses it once and had the same problem. Never again.

I use it quite often. i only use markers that will come off of the fabric if it happens to get on which it never has and i use tweezers or pins and a tape lint roller to get it off. I have never had any problems even with the fine work. i agree DO NOT IRON IT

Do NOT iron it. I use tweezers, and only use it on designs that don't have lots of small areas.

Next time, you might want to try Sulky Solvy instead of the Press n Seal. It is similar in the use, but washes out when you are done. I mark mine with Crayola Washable Markers.

I do the same & have never had a problem. I know it can be hard to get out if you sew lots of lines real close together. Post a pic & let us see, & maybe that will help us help you...
