Thank you so much for that site. I have a older older and I do mean older version of the featherweight. Probably the first ever made. I am having problems with the bottom tension, can anyone help there. Its not good under there. And as you can see I am not a sewer from the discription of the problem. lol. Thank you so much for all your help, that manual will come in mighty handy, I am going to order one right away. Thanks again

I have two featherweights. One I gave to my daughter. My book says to insert the bobbin in the casing with the thread coming towards you. (my home sewing machine it goes away from you). And the needle gets threaded from the right side instead of the left.

Thank you I will take it out and try it . I hope I can get it fixed, my repair guy is in Bakersfield which is about a hour and half from here. So keep your fingers crossed thank you.

Check out this website. There's a video there, and you can order a DVD on how to repair/service your Featherweight yourself (so you can save yourself the trip to your service guy!). These little machines were made to be fixable by their owners! Enjoy!
