How do you keep your sanity working with invisible thread. Doing black on a black applique.
I don't use it. Some love it....I don't. Black on black is hard no mater what kind of thread you use:)
I don't do black on black anymore. Too hard to see what I'm doing.
I hate invisible thread. I don't use it. So, I'm very sane!
You need a VERY good light for doing black on black with invisible thread. The stick on light really helps. It also helps if you use the open embroidery foot. I only work with something like that in the daytime too.
I tried invisible thread and HATED it. Gave away my spools and won't buy any more. Have used black on black with good lighting; not easy but it can be done!
If you need to use invisible thread just be in the mind set that there will be extra problems and you will have to rethread several times but it will be worth the effort. Every time I use that thread, I allow myself extra time because I'm going to need it.

Good light, open quilting foot, lots of extra time. it "for me" got to where i couldnot see it, had tp put the project down for awhile..
Same here.

Gee I love Invisible Thread...Never use it in bobbin...And always use your stand up straight spindle not sideways spindle.
