How do scraps muliply while sewing?
How does this happen? I'm making a string quilt and have a pile of scraps to choose. I've made almost half of the blocks that I need (7.5" unfinished). BUT this $(*&^%$ pile of strips is not getting any smaller. I was even up late last night sewing to make sure there was no hanky panky going on behind my back. UGH!

Oh I don't know, i think they have parties when you are not looking!

Even if you send them away to other people, the few that are left behind begin multiplying worse than mice and rabbits.

I am convince fabrics MUST be neutered before allowing them into our homes! Otherwise scrap happens. I mostly make scrap quilts and have yet to run out or lessen the acquisition. But I happily scrap along.

Thank you for a great laugh. It has made my day. |
I've been making mostly scrap quilts for a while, but my bins are still full. I wish my stash of yardage (especially backing fabric) would act the same way!

Oh! Thanks for the great laugh! You ladies are pretty funny!

My scraps have been multiplying for 8 years. I even put up a security system and found them dancing around their boxes and each piece of lint they shed during the dance magically became another scrap PILE. :D :D :D
