I think "rustic/primitive" styles might be more amenable to that " imperfect" look.

I bought one store bought quilt, and without saying where, just suffice to say it fell apart in the first washing! Never again! Most of the seams that let go had less than 1/8 " inch seams!

Those sets from China or other places are most often made under awful working conditions, with pittance for payment, and sold at ridiculous prices. That's why it is no wonder when one of the non-quilty friends tells you in passing "oh how about you make me a king-size Rose of Sharon quilt for my birthday?"
