How do you clean a design wall
 

I have the Fons & Porter flannel design wall pinned on a wall. It has so many loose threads on it. How do I clean it?? A lint roller won't work, and I think a vacuum would be too strong. Any ideas?

You could try using one of the small portable vacuums, and an extra set of hands to hold the flannel against the wall

I do use my vacuum cleaner with the carpet head on it. Mine is one with a hose and multiple heads to use. I found the lint roller didn't even budge my loose threads so tried the vacuum. I also use basting spray on mine to help keep the pieces on the wall. When I made my wall I just used leftover batting, added a 1 x 2 frame nailed to the wall, then stapled the batting over that and then finished it off with a trim piece to hide the batting edges plus to give it a little added strength when I put a large quilt up onto the wall. I usually vacuum the wall after every project.

I vacuum mine periodically using the narrow edge attachment. You do have to support the area you are vacuuming. I hold the tool at an angle to avoid sucking up the "wall."

I bought the no refill long Sticky lint roller. It works better then any of the paper lint rollers. Also for stubborn threads that are stuck, I use a Scotch Brite pad.

I use vacuum or mailing tape.

I use on of those lint rollers that I get at JAF when notions are 60% off.

why not try a new toilet brush? They are strong bristled

I can toss the Scotch Brite pad but would probably have to pick all the threads out of the brush, may as well pick them off the wall. :)
