I put mine in the plastic "disc" they came in. I usually buy in a 5 blade containers

You're lucky. They pay big bucks to have medical wastes picked up and properly disposed of.

If you take a screw driver you can pop off the sharps container lid . then it just snaps back on. that's what I do.

I saved an International Coffee's tin and cut a slit in the lid - I put old blades - needles, and damaged pins in it. I will take it to a junk yard, and give it to them, they will recycle it, and no worry about someone getting hurt.

I wrap 'em in a old piece of cardboard and seal with masking tape and then toss 'em in the trash.
