How do you dress for guild meetings?

My day off work changed so now I can go to the guild meetings. My first one was great. About 28 members were there. Everyone was friendly and the program was fun. Show and Tell was like being at a quilt show. I was very awed at the talent. The only thing that surprised me was how under dressed I felt. Everyone was dressed very nice. Not formal but dressy casual is what I call it. No sneakers in sight but for me! Ha.

Its a mixed bag, since we meet in the evenings, 1 or 2 and I are in dress work clothes because we go there before home since (for me) it would be a hours drive home and back track to meeting and I have to watch my gas usage ($), but others are in jeans but neatly dressed, which I rather be.

I wear jeans or whatever I happen to have on. I've only been to 2 meetings but most people seemed to be casual dress.

It depends upon whether people are retired or not. I cannot tell you how many retired people (I am retired, but don't include me in this group) have said to me they have to change their clothes because they're going to the Walmart.
When I was going to quilt meetings, it also depended upon where people were coming from to get to the meeting. It was usually around six-thirty or seven, and a lot of people came straight from work. I would wear sneakers, because,
quite frankly, I don't think I've had a shoe on since I retired. I have a pair of nice sneakers, though, that are going to restaurant quality. I would suggest that other than going naked, you wear whatever you want to.

Winia... you made me laugh! I agree, other than going naked... it shouldn't matter what a person wears. Some people by nature (not me) like to dress-up. Our quilting group is in slacks, jeans, tops and casual shoes.

It depend on what mood I'm in. Sometimes jeans and a t-shirt or dress pants and pretty shirt. It also depends on what kind of a day it was. When I am not feeling up to par, casual clothes make me feel more comfortable. It also depends on the weather. Winter I bundle up in layers and summer it's capri pants/sandals and summer shirt.

p.s. trust me, you DO NOT want me to wear shorts in the summer!

I dress nice every morning because I feel better when I'm dressed nice if I'm going out or not. I think jeans are nice but uncomfortable for me. I prefer nice slacks. I put on a little make up, do my hair and I'm ready for whatever I decide to do for the day. Sweat pants? No way I'd wear them out anywhere on purpose.

I've noticed that how the ladies dress kind of depends on their age. Many of our older members don't wear jeans. It's not that they're "dressed up," they just don't ever wear jeans. The younger members all tend to wear jeans in the winter and capris or shorts in the summer.

I dunno, we all dress comfy- jeans & sneakers are the norm for our group!

Interesting, our group goes the gamet from fancy, office wear, office casual, jeans, shorts, and sweats.
On Pot Luck or party days, they tend to dress up.
