You know, I like the faded look of the backs of fabrics; I use that quite a bit if I need a lighter tone of the same color. But, yeah, if you aren't trying to do it on purpose.... you need a break.

my nephew would tell you every fabric has 2 sides and you pay for both so why not use both? he turns fabs over on purpose when it works for him and no one ever knows...if they don't see the other side they have no idea it isn't supposed to be that way

It does take more concentrattion than we think sometimes but those are the moments that cause us to pause - hopefully we can laugh at ourselves and move on -

I've done this ... took a break ... came back ... and almost did it a second time... was time for a longer break ...

What mistake? I just see a "creative opportunity" I say.... you pay for both sides of the fabric, why not use it - LOL

Dont you just hate when you do it twice.
I had a quilting instructor once tell me that she was NOT going to show us an example of the wrong way to do something because quilters are probably naturally visual people so SEEING something done the wrong way makes you more prone to doing it that way. |
When, instead of trimming just one side of the seam, so I can fold the other one over it, I also trim the seam I'm supposed to fold over. Just did that yesterday. Grrrrrrrrrrr! Definitely time to do something else for awhile.
