I am trying to figure out how to make a fabric egg. Smaller at top and larger on the bottom as an egg would be but how does one get that perfect shape? I found an egg pattern pincusion by Moda and looking at the pic can not figure out if its four pieces or eight. I am sure there is one online and I am missing it. It is 3 dimensional so it is shaped like an egg not flat. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I made a pumpkin this summer and it was five panels that were very thing and very elongated. It was also a slightly taller pumpkin than round. I am sure its simple I just cant see it in my minds eye.

I would draw a egg on wax paper, transfer to fabric, cut out and applique it to fabric. Hope this helps.

Fabric egg- Are you making it 3D? Mom made Easter eggs by pinning folded fabric to a styrofoam egg. When I get out the Easterstuff I'll take a good look at it!

Scroll down to the template for the body of this chicken. It is egg-shaped. |
Thank you Quilter on the eastern edge. I love the link you posted. I'm making a Easter table runner and this will be perfect for it. Thank you.
