no they are stand alone and can interface with EQ6 only not EQ5 or 4

here's the order i like them

1) volume 6
2) volume 4
3) volume 5
4) volume 1
5) volume 2
6) volume 3

on the EQ website you can download a pdf file for each volume that shows about 50 of the designs on that volume.

volume 7 looks really good and can't wait for it to be released.
