How do you store you Accuquilt Dies?

DH gave me the Accuquilt Go for Christmas that came with 9 dies and I have also bought a few more since( I'm up to 16) I'm just curious if you use the racks accuquilt sells or if you have another idea?

I'd be interesting in hearing what people do with them too!

I store mine in a small sterlite type 3 drawer rolling cart. I am able to stand the dies on their side - which I think is the appropriate way to store. One drawer is for applique shapes, one for geometric shapes, and one for the mats. It doesn't work for the strip dies - those I stand beside the cart. Maybe not the best - but it works for me now.

I have the cube book cases for storage. There are 9 cubes in each case and I have 4 stacked 2 high. I just put them on the shelf like a book. Works great. The really big ones that don't fit are leaning against the wall behind my sewing table. I hang the mats on the wall since they have little wholes in them.

Right now I have the strip dies and they are standing in a box.

I have MANY dies......I refused to purchase the rack offered by accuquilt....too $$$$$. Instead someone on another list I belong to suggested going to TARGET-housewares dept and look for a wire-type vertical pot lid holder....same size as A's but only $10 each...each slot holds 2 dies.........if you live where TARGET is not I guess just some box store that offers this sort of thing would do......happy hunting.....enjoy the die cutter.......contact me PM is you want to see about joining the sites for die cutting info/discussions......

I have the Go die rack from Accuquilt. It's worth the price. It's very sturdy and heavy. It may look like a regular rack but it's much better quality. I'm happy with it. The dies shouldn't be stacked on top of each other. Any weight on a die will push the foam back away from the blade.

I have them upright like a book with the sticker label showing on the sides so I can see them.. I keep them in their original cellophane wrapper ( i have a curious lil one) and I use book ends to keep them upright.. I didnt have to buy anything but the dies, i used what I had ( bookends) ... Works perfect..

I got a desk sorter at Walmart for mine. Cost 7.88. It looks just like the Accuquilt one. I filled it up. I will pick up another one next trip.
