Me too, I have one for small projects and wallhangings, general sewing projects, pieced patterns, quilts done, and so on. I have a desk top and a laptop and sometimes I forget which computer the pattern is on so I just print it out and put in a protector in the appropriate binder.

Ditto. There are several on the market for not too much $$. Ask a bunch of questions wherever you get it and you should be fine! Sorry about the dead computer. Been there, done that - hence the external hard drive now.

peace :D

So are ALL mine too. I figured it was the best way to keep every thing together and not lose it it my computer crashed,
(which it has not yet thank goodness.) I have different folders for different types of pattern which makes it easy for me to find.

One word---CARBONITE

DH got a virus on his laptop and lost just about everything. Many irreplaceable photos- emails, etc.

I learn from others mistakes. THIS will not happen to me. I forget how much it IS but if I buy a new computer---they will put everything on that one.

I just pitched ALOT of stuff I had printed, saved from magazines, etc.

Thanks so much for all the tips. I guess I have learned my lesson the hard way. computer is....dead...I think I'll get an external hard drive and save everything to it.
