I meant in machine quilting. We won't discuss the other weight here, ok?;-)
I just saw this nifty idea and thought I'd share. Have you tried this?
Looks cheap and easy to make.

I might try the clamps on the window or even on the edge of my sewing table. But I usually quilt my big squares as I go and lug the quilt around the sewing machine to attach the border and binding.

I think I might try it with my clothing rack. It's on wheels and is extendable.
