I think the pounce has kinda a trick to it. Haven't used it much but I think maybe you gotta get it loaded good and then rub not pounce. You could post another question. How to use pounce. I am sure others know more than me LOL

yes, the stupid pounce. they should rename that thing.
i did a border with it and had to wipe it over and over. my stencil was leaves and had sharp points that kept getting caught in the pounce pad covering. i finally did "pounce" it on!! |

I use a homemade light box. One of the clear tubs you buy for storage turned bottom side up with a tap light under it. lay my pattern on that and fabric on top of that, if the fabric is dark I use a sliver of white bar soap to trace the design onto the fabric. Works very well. Hope that helps.
