I have bought fabrics from Hobby Lobby and have been pleased with what I got. As mentioned, you do have to feel the fabric to make sure you are getting the quality that you want. I love their themed fabrics, i.e., Christmas, Halloween, fall fabrics. Love shopping throughout the entire store.

Our Hobby Lobby has great fabric, but I find that the notions area is a bit small. Not alot of bias tapes, etc.

I just mentioned to my daughter the other day, I needed to go with her there, just to walk around the entire store. They have some of the neatest stuff.

Hubby will go there, but he wants to go in and out too quickly for me, I need to be able to walk up and down each asle...there is so much to look at !!

Like all fabric only YOU can decide if it is right for you and your projects. You really have to watch for flaws, they will NOT discount for those flaws either!
Most of it is thin, it ravels, and fades quickly...you just have to feel it, hold it up the light, run a white hanky over the dark colors, and run your nail across the cut edge....but then you need to those things at joanns, hancocks, and esp walmart...

remember the quality of fabric you use is what makes your project quality!

I agree, a little better than JoAnns.

I use Hobby Lobby fabric and it is very good fabric, similar to Walmart fabric.

I agree. You have to watch what you buy but I've found nice fabric there, including some designer fabric. They tend to have a nice selection that Joann's doesn't typically have. They aren't open on Sundays because it is Christian-owned. I'm lucky to have a Hobby Lobby in the same mall as Joanns. :-)

I like it better than Walmart and Joanns. IMO, the majority of their stuff is the same as the top quality that Joann's sells, but is priced better. With their sales or coupon you can usually get it around $4 a yard.
