It's so easy.......I had the outline drawn and had partially stitched the section when it was time for bed. When I got up this morning the lines were gone. One of the kittens slept on top of it and rubbed it all off. Too bad the stitching was not done yet. I had to re-draw it. :-)

I don't have a cat. I wonder if it works with dogs?

I wonder how mad they would get if you just picked them up and used them as an eraser. LOL      Of course they could be getting a belly rub at the same time. It's a win win situation don't ya think? :D :D :D :D

Oh what a crack up! Sorry you had to redraw the lines, but, that is pretty cool for after it is finished.

I never thought of using my cat.    I wonder if they would cooperate. I'm thinking..........no.

I've not used chalk but have saved these hints when and if I decide to; haven't tried the tips so I can't vouch for these methods.

Spray your chalk lines ...
When using chalk rollers to mark your stencil designs, spritz over the chalk lines with hairspray to keep it from rubbing off while you handle the quilt. The marks disappear in the laundry with no problem.

I keep old nylon knee highs near by. They are excellent for removing chalk markings. They are also good for removing deodorant mishaps on your clothing. -

in response to blue chalk used to mark a quilt:

I massaged detergent over every traced line, rewashed on gentle and dried on no and then very low heat. (My washer does not have the type of agitator that is too rough, so I lucked out).
