Wondering? I'm fairly new on here so I know there is a ton of fun reading on the forum that I have never seen. It says for example that there are approx. 1300 pages to it. Ok- say I want to go to page 500. Is there a way to get to any page you want by typing in the number. Other wise, you have to sit there and keep pushing the arrow...the arrow...the arrow all day until you finally get back far enough to start reading what ever was posted before you joined. Then if you get through ten pages and decide to log off- you have to do it all over again. I keep thinking i'm missing something. thanks!

Wow - there is so much for you to see on here. Start by trying all the headings to get familiar with where they take you.

If you are in the middle of a topic and want to go back a number of pages, down at the bottom of the page on the right is a "jump to page number...." box. If you want to log off and come back to the same thread, you can go to the top left and "bookmark" that particular thread and save it.

On the Quilting Forum topics page, click each heading such as "Main", "Pictures" etc and the top entry is usually a "how to use this section".

I have been here a couple of years now and am still finding stuff! Use the Search option at the top of the page or post a question - there is always lots of help available from everyone.

Admin. keep streamlining and adding to our options so there is often something new to become familiar with.

I am sure there will be lots of replies with lots of info coming in, so just explore and have fun.

Go go the page of the forum you want to explore.

I'll use the Main forum as an example.

Look up at the URL in the address bar:
It looks like this:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/s-1-1.htm

See the 1-1 towards the end?

The first 1 indicates the Main board.

The second 1 relates to the page number.
So if you change that to 500 (so it reads 1-500) it will take you to the 500th page of the Main forum.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/s-1-500.htm

Pictures is forum #5.
So this url will get you to the 500th page of the Pictures forum.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/s-5-500.htm

You just have to go to the first page of each forum, and then edit the page number you want.

But keep in mind that if you come back in a few days, the info on page 500 you viewed today will likely be on page 504+ by then.

I learn something new every day! I would just go to Topic log, which would take me to where ever I had last been and scroll from there.

This url method makes a lot more sense, as long as I'm smart enough to write down the URL I am at where I want to return to view.
