30 -45 minutes per side...

I find it depends on how long my eyes hold out!! I usually can go for 2-3 hours at a time, then the double vision sets in, and I have to put it away until the next day.

I don't do a whip stitch. I don't think it's very secure. It generally takes me about 3 to 4 days to do the hand stitching on the binding. But I also can't sew for more than 2 to 3 hours at a time.

I do a ladder stitch and it takes me about 4-5 days, probably 4 hrs. Per day to finish a queen size.

If I were watching tv, it would take me forever. Listening to audio books on my mp3 player with nothing else I have to stop for, about 1/2 hour a side....average. But I don't usually do all four sides in one sitting--I usually aim for half hour at a time...but then, I haven't hand bound a quilt in quite some time.

I do an invisible stitch and it takes me 6 hours. Somehow I just agreed to bind a scalloped DWR. I expect that will take a good 12 hours.

It usually takes me about 2-2 1/2 hours for queen size and less time for smaller quilts.

I usually do my binding in the evenings with on the deck (weater permitting) ....sitting and talking with DH and enjoying a nice glass of wine....It usually takes me a couple of evenings for a king sized quilt, so probably about the same for a queen. I think the key to it all, is to make it an enjoyable and relaxing experience, your work will be a nicer experience.
