Is an inside corner made basically the same as an outside corner?

Do you mean in the binding? If so, I would love to hear an answer to this question! Welcome to the board.

If you are talking binding then you need to make sure you have bias binding because it won't curve otherwise.

Some like to clip the inside corners before binding them :D:D:D

you clip the binding and over-lap it then stitch it down.

I have a cat that could be your cats twin. Only now mine can be identified. Ours is an indoor/outdoor cat and is getting older and has been in a fight that you he has a scar on his nose. I will try to find a picture of him.

my project manager showed up on my back porch a couple years ago on a very very cold nite. She put the dog i had at the time in his place, so she was able to stay!! ;)

I would stay stitch both sides of the angle (can you tell I have done more apparel than quilts?) with a small stitch, gently pull it straight, apply the binding while it's straight, then fold it back to the angle and hand sew the miter that's been created. Wow, that's all one sentence!
