there is a tool you can buy on line, none of the stores seem to carry it, to keep your mats in good condition.
It's called a Mat Smoother, by Tri-sharp. I use it after regular cutting and it keeps my mat smooth! http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail....3-f7d6c071d7a1 |

1 23X35 that I carry around and one 23X6 (I think) in my travel bag and one 6X6 that I never use! |
Um just one...and it's over 20 years old. It seems fine-am I missing something?

I have four plus my new fip one, press on one side and cut on the other. Just bought a new huge one, self healing, as my DH and I destroyed one cutting coroplast boards on it. Also picked up a rotary one which I think I'll really like. The baby one, like 6 x 8 I picked up at the quilting expo and it's great for those little jobs.
