How many hours a week do you sew?
Not enough! :) I was just counting up the tops I have to quilt, the WIPs and the potential quilts in my stash. It's way too many.

I try and sew a little every day...between commercials now that the olympics are on. I have all of my cutting laid out on the coffee table and do that while watching.
Cleaning...well sometimes I set the timer on the microwave for ten minutes and do a mad dash!!!
Cooking! well I listened to all of you gals and use my crockpot!!!
I would never set the timer for sewing though!!

janRN i had a friend who did this one time, but it backfired on her. Her wonderful evening mood lasted overnight as her card club members got snowed in and had to stay until power came back on and snow removal was done

I am retired and have a wonderful sewing room where I can leave projects out. Some days I sew all day and some days don't go into the room at all. TRICK: get everything cut out. Then if you have 10 minutes sew for 10 minutes - if you have 4 hours sew for 4 hours.

Not enough, but have found a way to get a little in every day lately. I don't work outside the home because of health reasons; but find that I can always find something that needs to be done around here. I finally decided to make time, after battling my way through a bout of being down in the dumps. I also have some wool applique that I am trying to do a little on each afternoon when watching tv; as I am one of the dinosaurs who still enjoys my soaps. Figured I might as well be constructive while they are on; so either do needlework, pin quilt pieces, or cut fabrics. So far it is working out great for me.

I am retired so I have lots of time. I have to do my house cleaning, laundry etc. first and plan what we are having for dinner. After that it is to the sewing room!

I may not sew everyday, but I always go in my sewing room and look or feel fabric. We RV during the summer months and I don't take my machine. But I can't wait to get home and just look and touch my machine and say hello. I get that warm and fuzzy feeling inside when I get that first idea for a new quilt.I do visit all the quilt shops on our trips and get a lot of satifaction from that.

I mend... daily... but I sew, saddly, only once or twice a week.

It's weird but I did more sewing and got much more done when I was working full time than I do now that I'm retired. I guess I was a little more organized then. Now I still sew a little every day but I also spend a lot of time reading magazines and books..quilting of course but it's still time away from the machine. But I have machines set up in three rooms of the house so I can't go too far without sitting down for a few minutes. Can you tell I live alone?? lol
