Me, too, Ditter -- but I have fabric for 3 more that I practically have to hide from myself to resist the temptation to start on them! I finally finished a queen-size last night that I thought I'd never finish and started cutting the next one even though it was almost midnight!

I have been straighten out my fabric room. In the process I've found over 30 projects that I have cut and started, each one in a plastic box. This hasn't stopped me from starting new projects....I wonder if this disease has a name!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it does. It is the "Quilt Pox." There is no known cure.

I have about 10 or 12. Don't quilt them myself so a little short right now to get them done. Someday things will pick up!!

I always wondered about that myself. Up until recently I have tried to always finish them before starting another. But my new project is doing two quilt patterns at a time, so I cut, sew two. But I have three that I have not finished. They are ready to quilt and one I even have in the hoop. Hope to have a few more that far soon. Today am going to get fabric and pattern out to start another woo hooo.

Right now I only have 1 top ready to be quilted but I found out that a friend of mine wife is seriously ill. So down went the top and piecing started again. I usually have only 1 top completed at a time as these top are for specific people or events. Like the 2 scout ones for the boys back in june, 2 retirement autograph ones in july, monopoly for the end of this month. I usually have several that I have planned out that I have the fabric for but haven't cut yet. So even though I love doing the tops the only thing that keeps me getting them all the way finished is that they are gifts for people for occasions so must be finished on time. I can't wait till I have time to work with less pressure.

manyana, I had the same problem. I now put them on the table, and clamp the backing, lay the batting over it, and then the top. I use a marble to roll under under the spot that I am pinning. It lifts the quilt up just enough to clear the table. With that, I do not have to worry about scratches. Or, you can always spray baste.
