I now have to change my answer. My husband bought me a Featherweight for my birthday. One more to add to the herd.

I have 3 different model of brother embroidery machines. Then there is my 1905 Singer treadle and a 1921 White, it has the strangest tension set up I have ever seen. Both of these machines are in perfect working order. I have a Kenmore machine that is about 20 years old, then my surger. I have the Juki that I am using as my all-purpose machine right now and then I have a 1500se Brothers machine that is on my Grace Quilting Frame. That is a total of 9 machines currently. I just gave away 3 machines. One went to someone wanting to learn to quilt. The other 2 went to students at the local high school who wanted a machine at home to work with while learning to sew.

I have 18 machines: one Singer 50D (chain stitch machine) I used to sew my clothes on during high school; a Pfaff 362 my parents bought me for high school graduation; a Bernina 1530; a Bernina serger; a Bernina embroidery machine; three Featherweight 221s; one Featherweight 222; a Singer model 20 (chain stitch); three Singer model 66s (ages from 1918 to 1951); four Singer 99s; one 1951 Singer 201-2; and one 1950 Singer 201K. All of the machines work, although some I use more than others. I've become obsessed with collecting the vintage Singers since seeing and acquiring my first Featherweight last September. I just love the look of them and the simplicity of the way they sew and can be maintained.

I have 3 at the moment. When we moved I had to sell my grandmother's treadle machine (which is the one I learned to sew on). That broke my heart. I now have a janome 6600 that I love and that is my main sewing machine and I just bought a feather weight from a friend and haven't gotten a chance to even get it out of its case yet. I also have a pfaff that I had out of the box only once as I just love my janome. Would like to sell my pfaff as I won't ever use it. I guess we can only sew on one sewing machine at one time so I don't need any more.

I have 6, none of which is newer than 1996! I have my original 1976 Viking that I use all of the time; 2 working duplicates in case I need spare Viking parts; my mom's 1958 Elna Supermatic with all of the cams that I learned to sew on, and a working spare with cams for parts; and my least favorite, a 1996 Janome. I love the older heavy machines with all metal parts. They will sew thru many layers with ease, don't move around on my desk when I sew, and do not have to be reset every time I turn them on. They are old workhorses like me and do anything I need them to do.

Lets see...Husq Lily, 3- Singer 30l's, Husq SE and Designer EPIC, 1901 Singer, Standard Treadle, Babylock Sashiko, Singer Repro featherweight 160, Husq Felting machine, White Serger.
The only ones that aren't used is the 1901 Singer and Treadle but I do use all the others and when I have sewing buddies over they don't have to bring machines.
And yes it's addictive esp finding a great deal on a vintage machine...Always have my eye open for Vintage machines any brand in working condition when antiquing.

I am also one of those who said they would never have more than one machine. Well I have a Janome 6600 that I adore for quilting but it's a behemoth dropped into a table. When I broke the spool pin taking it out at a class, I bought a more lightweight Brother Sew/Embroidery machine also to take to classes. Then I sewed on a Guild Member's Featherweight so now I'm in search of one of those lol. Maybe a serger at some point..,

Hi all, just joined the group. I actually have 12 machines. 5 of them are actually antiques (Singer treadle, Singer Featherweight, Singer hand crank, and 2 1940-1950 British children's toy hand cranks that really sew); 4 of them are embroidery (kept moving up to larger hoop sizes as I learned); and three are various sizes and brands. I love sewing machines, LOL.

Singer 404
Singer 66 treadle. all four in cabinets and are set up and in use.

And a lovely white rotary in a little cabinet that will move on when I find someone who needs a good straightforward machine. I've learned less is more for me.
