I couldn't make them right now so sent info to a friend who is co president of a quilting guild. There should be about a 100 coming from her guild in Texas.

Hi, I haven't seen anyone from Connecticut!! Isn't there anybody else in our state that is quilting?
It was my first point experience and I enjoyed it even though there was a bit of ripping out mistakes. It took me most of a Saturday afternoon but got it in the mail on Monday. God protect these young people!!!

Hey, you have just checked Connecticut off the list. Incase anyone else is wondering what states have not been checked off they are: Wyoming, New Hampshire, Vermont, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Alaska, and Indiana.
We are so close to having every single state in this wonderful project. Come on America show your support . This is amazing only 8 states to go.

jdeery 04-04-2011 08:49 AM

My group from PA is sending about 5 squares.

I thought I read earlier that someone from WI was sending blocks to a guild in MI to be sent with theirs.

The quilt pattern here shows that the untrimmed blocks will be squared up to 8-1/2", with a finished size of 8". Smart, knowing just how different everyone's 1/4" seam allowance can be...

Somewhere I read that the directions call for the blocks to end up larger to allow for squaring up. Mine were 10 1/2".

I plan to do more before time is up. GOD bless America.

I bought a padded (approximate 12 1/4 & 15) envelope from USPS costing about $2.50. Mailing cost was $2something. My blocks were 10 1/2" square. I fit 8 blocks in it with room for quite a few more without having to squish them in.

Hoping to get 2 started on Tuesday or Wednesday from Wyoming

mimiknoxtaylor 04-05-2011 10:35 AM
