I'm on my third Eye Spy quilt and I'm having a hard time finishing them. I love them and all the colors and need them as the babies have arrived but I'm tired of working on them. How many of you have done this? What did you do?

Lucky Stars! I love that pattern. I've completed 7 and have one in the works (the first one I started). It's very versatile and looks good in many color combinations.

I find I make multiples of easy patterns, ie: Trip Around the World, Log Cabin, Square in Square, Chinese Coins,Bears Paw, Stars&Snowballs, Braids, etc, for those that are give-aways. (fundraisers, charity) They work up fast, and look great especially if using a 'line' of fabrics. They're no-brainers for those times you need something quick!

I find it hard to finish a repeat quilt, but i have done a few, but they take longer the 2nd time around.

The only pattern I've made many of is Log Cabin. I get sick of most patterns by the time I've finished ! :D

I do alot of irish chains. they are so easy and it is a classic pattern. I am doing a variation of one soon. I make it interesting by changing the fabrics or the size of the fabrics.

My favorite is the fat quarter shuffle.Goes real fast. The harder ones I only want to do once!
|
I have the Lucky Stars pattern but haven't made it yet. Love it, tho.

So far I've only made each pattern once but there were a few I'd probably make again. And it's not the hard ones! :)

I'm crazy about, "There's a Dog on My Quilt" by Billie Lauder. I've made 5 of them. I recently changed it up a little bit and did the cat version. It is so simple to figure out and gets the whole family involved in laying it out like a jigsaw puzzle.
