According to DH I am a total addict to computer. What he doesn't realize is that I read alot. Not just this site but other stuff. Here's me giving him a big fat rasberry.

I am so happy to know that I'm not the only "obsessed" person on here. This board keeps me occupied all morn. I seem to wander around to sev. links so that takes me a long time.
Since I'm alone now & retired, there is nothing to push me so I enjoy spending time with all of you. I learn so much from all of you.

sew_southern 06-16-2010 09:50 PM

Too much time, but I like it! :)

Aurora 06-17-2010 01:13 AM

Alot-- As long as it takes to read everything! Early morning, it helps me prepare for the day and late evening, it relaxes me.

mygirl66 06-17-2010 04:37 AM

There is so much to learn, see, do, ideas, and awesome people here, it easy to become addicted! I feel lost if I cant hop on here every morning!

marsye 06-17-2010 04:39 AM

People are so willing to help and it is not just gab. What they say is the way it is! I am addicted and absolutely plan to stay that way./Regards, Dorothy

Hello ... my name is Robin ... and I'm here for the 12 step quilting and quilting board addiction program. I'm hoping to learn how to better utilize my time ... so that my addiction can be fed. :D

ps - no offense is meant by the above.

Robin, you won't find any cure here. Nobody here wants to make our addiction better. That's speaking for myself though. Ha.
As for using your time better, just retire & polish off your sewing machine then head to the LQS. The only cure is to feed it.

I was happy to see this message so I can say how much this means to me. Not being part of a quilting group, it is so good to read all of the comments. Thanks to all.

Just getting back into quilting, I have been helped and inspired so much by all the friendly quilters on this board!! No one I know quilts, so this board has become very special to me!!

twogeebs 06-17-2010 12:35 PM

I'm on everymorning, sometimes in the afternoon. I find it relaxiing because it gets my minds off of my troubles. And sometimes in the middle of the night when I can't sleep, this is where I'm at.

A lot of good information here!!!

tryitall 06-17-2010 01:27 PM

CONGRATS!!!!!! HANG IN THERE!

I am new to quilting, but have been watching this board for a few months and have learned a lot, just when I have a question, I find the answer on the board....love, love, love it.

MN QUILTLADY 06-17-2010 06:10 PM

At first it was only once a day, then later I got nore addicted-I like to check this site when I get home from work, and again when I'm making supper just like tonight I should be doing the dishes, but here I am, but I am getting my laundary done. Just have to call me a QB-ahalic.

I am addicted-when I am not working I check the board several times a day. It has actually been very good for me though-I have had bad family drama lately and the posts here make me smile-everyone is so nice and caring and kind to each other.

if i spent as much time sewing as ido on this board,i could get a lot more done, but iLOVE it !

mimiknoxtaylor 06-18-2010 04:31 AM

While I'm finishing my morning coffee after hubby heads to work. Right now I should be finishing the prep of putting his tee shirt quilt on the frame for quilting but just like dust it'll be there when I get to it. Haven't found those nice little elves that come & do the dishes, etc

Melinda in Tulsa 06-18-2010 07:04 AM

When you find the elves, please send them my way! I need all the help I can get.

Up North 06-18-2010 07:07 AM

All that the elves do for me is throw crumbs on the floor and dirty the dishes. They even eat my ice cream when I am not looking!

Melinda in Tulsa 06-18-2010 07:13 AM

LOL, sounds like my DH!!!

Bobbielinks 06-18-2010 07:30 AM

I am very addicted to this board. Since I'm a work at home person this is my social outlet. You guys listen to all my problems, have answers for my questions and let me just ramble along at times. I check in every morning and spend at least an hour or two catching up on all the "news". Couldn't live without you!

JoanneS 06-18-2010 07:59 AM

I have to admit I'm more adicted to reading what's new here than I am to depleting my stash. If I I spent as much time sewing as I do reading, I'd have a lot more quilts finished!

littlehud 06-18-2010 08:47 AM

Way too much. But I love it so much. I spend a hour after work. It winds me down after my 12 hour shift. And I spend lots of time here on my days off.

AkAngel 06-18-2010 10:19 AM

Well, I'm here again reading this thread, does that answer the question? lol, WAY TO MUCH TIME!!
Muriel
