I would love to do about three hours of planning/fabric selection/machine sewing every day, and about 2 hours of handwork every evening...but alas that rarely happens! In reality I probably average about 30 min a day, but that will be 4 hours on one day then nothing for a week and half.

Not enough. I work 4 days a week. I try to fit in around 2/3 hours on 1 day of the weekend.:(

I might get to sew 2-3 hours a week and it's broken up into short spurts. I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids (ages 4, 6 & 8) and I homeschool as well, so my time is pretty well scheduled for me!

Just about every free moment I have. I still have to do that work thing to pay the bills - but when i'm not working, not much else gets done!

Sue, you are singing my song! It's gotten bad. Just leave me alone and let me quilt! :)

I am a stay at home Mom so I've got my routine down! Get kids up, on bus, check email and blogs, clean, and usually that's all done by 9 or 10 and I pretty much sew the rest of the day until the kids come home - dinner, kids to bed, sew some more! LOL* Everyday I'm not knee deep in a project, so sometimes I'm just tooting around practicing my free motion or rummaging through patterns and fabric.

I just started two years ago and I love it! Just got a HQ Sweet Sixteen for b-day and Christmas present this year. I work part-time 3-4 days a week for 3-4 hours a day. It's easy money really. I end up having several hours every day to quilt. No kids, but my pets are more demanding than my husband. I do like to make sure dinner is fixed everyday and I try to work on the house everyday. However, it's not as clean as I like and I'm more like "whatever" these days and say "I'm off to quilt." I also have friends to quilt with and sign up for classes, BOM's through my favorite LQSm and sew-in's to get out of the house.

I'm retired and so I spent most days quilting or sewing a quilt together, maybe 6 to 7 hrs a day, and love it. .

Although I am retired, I don't seem to have much free time; but I spend every free minute quilting. Sometimes I am quilting in 15 minute segments of time which may end up as an hour or two a day. I love it when I can get in 4 or 5 hours a day. I do appliqué or sew on bindings at night. I so enjoy quilting which I just started 2 1/2 years ago.
