When my husband complains about the sewing noise, I tell him to go get a sleep study so he can quit snoring. My machine doesn't even drown out the noise. LOL!

Rapture, I love it,. I agree, they should 'just deal with your hobby.' My DH is a very very light sleeper, but he really doesn't complain, I think he doubts if it would do much good if he did.

I machine sew during the day and hand sew at night...Due to work etc. the evenings are the time we spend together, so no noise issues at our place.

The only noise I made while sewing that might wake anyone is my fussing when I have to rip something out for the second or third time :) )
