Another reason I love my Viking. No oiling ever. Goes to the shop once a year for a tune up.

All machines gets oiled when in for check up or service. Even the self lubricating ones. Be sure and take the no oil needed machines in for a yearly check up.

My Juki and Babylock Jane needs to be oiled after about 8 hours of sewing. I oil the part by the bobbin at each bobbin change when I am quilting, otherwise every other bobbin change. I just found the special oil for the Juki. I will feel much better using it.

You only need to put a drop of oil on the race, where the bobbin goes. But I do agree, take it to a certified Bernina tech and let him clean and oil it.

I have a Bernina and was told to oil after 8 hours of sewing. I would find a Bernina Dealer and talk to them.
